Who Won The Presidential Debate? Neither - But That's Not The Point
Chicago, IL October 4, 2004 -– An article entitled "Analysis: The Differences Between Bush And Kerry On Iraq -Then & Now" in the October 4, 2004 issue of the weekly web magazine News Informant analyzes the positions of both candidates presented in the debate. Many analysts, says the article, are disappointed that neither candidate appeared to make any gaffes, that Kerry "discussed" rather than "lectured," and that Bush seemed to know more specifics than people expected. For those who see the debate as entertainment, the debate was a failure.The News Informant article makes clear, in contrast, that the debate served the useful purpose of elucidating the differences on foreign policy between the two major candidates for president in 2004.
